What's the difference between the A-Frame and Lean-To models?

The A-Frame offers classic angles and a more Scandinavian/cabin vibe with optional lofts for storage, while the Lean-To provides modern sleekness and max natural light. Both are insulated and customizable—choose based on style and light needs.
What foundation do I need for the shed?

A level gravel or concrete pad is ideal for stability. We recommend 4-6 inches of crushed stone, or a concrete pad; our consultation includes site prep guidance to ensure a solid, long-lasting base.

Is it cheaper to build my own shed or buy prefab?

Generally speaking, the cost of our prefab structures is quite competitive with DIY approaches if any cost of time at all is figured in. This is due to our bulk buying power, efficient tooling setup, and the inherent efficiencies of building at a centralized location (our shop).
Plus, you get the benefit of professional craftsmanship, our 10 year warranty, and a quick, hassle-free setup.
That said, for DIYers who want to tackle chunks of the project themselves, such as interior finishes, we're happy to offer "shell" structures with no interior finishes, that can then be finished out to your exact specs yourself, or left as is.
How much does a prefab studio shed cost?

Our standard finished-interior studio sheds start at just $17,999, but prices can vary widely from that, depending on your structure size, finishes, and customization options (additional doors/windows, climate control, higher ceilings, lofts, interior cabinetry, and more).

We do also offer standard "shell" configurations with no interior finishes or insulation. These can then be finished out DIY, or on-site by local contractors, or even left unfinished to use as storage or utility sheds. These can save as much as 30-40% vs a model with a finished interior.
Do I need a permit to install a backyard studio shed?

Permit requirements vary by location and size (often needed for structures over 120 sq ft). We provide free consultations to guide you through local regulations in the Northeast US.
